For Henner Jahns, the eyes have it. The eyes have the acuity to see deeply and to scan the broad horizon for new possibilities.
His Gecco Vision studio in Los Angeles is dedicated to the development of insightful product designs, including VIA’s stunning new Duality series of executive, management and conference chairs.
“Duality is about form and function, movement and support,” says Jahns. “It takes the hallmarks of VIA’s chairs – quality, comfort and reliability – and places those hallmarks in a more sophisticated form.”
Jahns, born in 1968 in Wunstorf, Germany, describes himself as a designer who keeps the end user of the product at the center of the process. “When it comes to furniture,” says Jahns, “I follow the theme of living in motion – creating products that encourage physical activity.”
