March Round Up!
This past month was a very busy one for all here at VIA. First of all we had NeoCon® West. VIA did not have a booth at the show. As it turned out, it was a good thing. Joe and Nora attended the show and were both very satisfied that we did not invest in a space there. The attendance was down and the location (LA Mart) was very inconvenient for parking.
Rodenbeck and Associates on the other hand put on a great showing at their permanent showroom in the Pacific Design Center building. Our compliments to Terry and Ingrid on their selection of fabrics and leather on their VIA samples. Their showroom looked stunning.

Class of March – 2004
We also had rep training class here at the factory past month and we would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you who attended and made this class such a wonderful success. We are very much looking forward to working with you as time moves forward!

NeoCon® Reminder
For those of you who are now planning your travel to Chicago please remember that our mandatory training session is scheduled for Sunday 13th June from 3.30 to 5pm at suite space B301 on the 8th floor (same space as last year). Our annual rep award dinner (reps only please) is scheduled for Monday night June 14th beginning at 7pm at Gibson’s steakhouse – 1028 North Rush St. Chicago (same place as last year). For those of you who have not returned your attendance form , please do so – Jennifer will refax this to you next week if you have not already returned it.

New Introductions
Preparation for NeoCon® is well underway. Ed is currently working on a new side chair for the Palmer series, a new version of Montego, which will feature new styling and a tablet arm. These are just two of the projects that Ed is busily working on at present that will be on show at NeoCon®.

Survey Update
Thank you all so much for returning your survey to Alice Heiman. She was very impressed at the level of enthusiasm that you exhibited and welcomed your indebth responses – Thank You All Very Much!
The dealer section of this survey will be sent out on Tuesday of next week. It will be sent to all dealerships, and a selection of our top spiff recipients. The survey will be accompanied by a cover letter thanking them for their valuable contribution to making VIA such a success and a pen, just as a small token of our appreciation of them taking the time to share their views on our survey.
The deadline for returning the dealer survey is April 21st – and we request that it is returned directly to Alice Heiman by email or fax, as before: (arh@aliceheiman.com or Fax: 775-852-5021).

Nuts & Bolts
We would like to offer this section of the newsletter to solicit your feedback in relation to developments or additions to the product line that you would like to see VIA pursue. If you have any ideas, comments or feedback – Ed Abadie would love to hear from you. Please feel free to email him with your comments/suggestions here at VIA: eabadie@viaseating.com

In addition, this section will keep you up to date with any product modifications or changes and introduce new products that are in the works.
Ed, as you may be aware, heads up our new in house research and development division. On a factory visit you can now see how our chair designs develop right from the drawing board. Ed still has working drawings on his wall of the Oslo/Bergen series which he designed exclusively for VIA, back in the late 90’s. His workshop is located at the rear of our factory right outside the showroom. Now when you bring your clients through on a factory tour, this in house design capability adds a very unique dimension to the factory tour and demonstrates the quality craftsmanship that is associated with VIA products, right through every stage of development.
